Finding apartments with a lift in Alcossebre isn't as easy as it sounds: many beach complexes were built with stairs only. Bovalar and Mare Nostrum are two that do have one, and they're also in the most central part of town, with all amenities on foot.
Bovalar: peace and quiet by the town centre
Bovalar is at Carrer Bedoll, 9, in a quiet residential area next to the town centre. It has a lift, extensive gardens, a sun terrace and a seasonal pool for adults and children. Cargador beach, the seafront promenade, the tourist office, supermarkets, restaurants and cafés are a few minutes' walk away, and the marina is close by.
The apartment: about 60 m² with two bedrooms (a double bed and two 90 cm singles), a living room with double sofa bed and TV, an open-plan kitchen with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine, a bathroom with bath, heat-pump heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, soundproofing and a terrace overlooking the garden and the pool. There are apartments on the ground, first and second floors.
Mare Nostrum: right in the centre, 200 metres from the sea
Mare Nostrum is at Carrer del Barquer, 8, in the centre of Alcossebre, about 200 metres from Cargador beach (around 2 minutes on foot). Around it are restaurants, supermarkets, a chemist, a medical centre, banks and small shops. The complex has a shared seasonal pool and a sun terrace.
The apartment: about 70 m² with three bedrooms (one with a double bed and two with two single beds) and a sofa bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi and a balcony. According to its listing, the upper floors are reached by lift. It's a good option for travelling with children or grandchildren, or for two couples sharing. There's no parking.

Tips for travellers who value comfort
- Ask for the ground or first floor if you'd rather not rely on the lift.
- The bathroom has a bath in both complexes; if you need a walk-in shower, ask before booking.
- In low season check-in and check-out are flexible: agree the time with Casa Azahar so you can travel without rushing.
